From the Staff
When we lost Jeff on January 10, 2023, we were all shocked and beyond sad. It was difficult to look at this site, which contains a significant part of Jeff's career dating back to the dawn of the internet. Since Dick Wyzanski and his partner Bill Armstrong started the site, it has been the definitive source for all things Jeff.
Happily, there is still so much excitement surrounding Jeff's music that we decided it was time to wake up, say hello, and share some of what the crew here at the site has been enjoying among ourselves.
We are here to celebrate the music and the man. We will do our best to share some of the stories, photos, recordings, and other material that we have been passing around behind the scenes.
Enjoy the new posts, come back often, and follow us on Facebook!
We Remember Jeff
In honor of what would have been Jeff's 80th birthday, friends and fans joined together to sponsor this video four times an hour in New York's Times Square.
Special thanks to Jim Belmont and Rick McGowen.
Johnny A.
Bill Toabe, longtime Jeff Beck fan and part of our crew here, had the chance to catch up with Johnny A. after a recent Jeff Beck Tribute Show.
Seeing this guitar icon is always a great show. Seeing him perform a show drawn from Jeff's catalog made it a very special night.
Blow by Blow: The Jeff Beck Story
A new Jeff Beck biography, Blow by Blow: The Jeff Beck Story by Brad Tolinski and Chris Gill, was released this week.
We are proud that Dick Wyzanski and this website provided material and historical information for the book. Dick and the site have also been mentioned in many of the Jeff Beck biographies published over the years.
Jeff Beck's Final New York Performance – Huntington, Long Island
This exclusive footage was recorded at Jeff Beck's final New York performance in Huntington, Long Island.
We had planned to have a small gathering back at Jeff's hotel after the show, but the added confusion and security surrounding Johnny Depp's appearance on the tour, along with a mid-tour management change, left us out on the street for the first time in decades.
As I drove home that night, I had no idea it would be the last time I would ever see Jeff perform in New York. We all expected him to return in the spring—or at least that's what we believed.
Looking back now, it seems fitting that I was fortunate enough to attend both Jeff Beck Group milestones in New York City: his very first New York performance with the original Jeff Beck Group, and, decades later, his final New York appearance. Few fans were lucky enough to witness both ends of that remarkable journey.
